Sports acrobatics world championship. Legendary champion and trainer in sports acrobatics Anatoly Tishler: “to get a piece of bread, I walked in front of the invaders on my hands.” Someone told you about it

Word "acrobat" came from Greek "acrobates", which means “I walk on tiptoes, I climb up”. Acrobatics, as a form of physical exercise, originated in ancient times. Images on surviving monuments, vessels, frescoes and other items indicate that this sport was known in Ancient Egypt 2300 BC.

They also practiced acrobatic exercises in Ancient Greece. In Crete, along with theatrical processions associated with harvesting and various ceremonies, games with bulls were held, an integral part of which were acrobatic exercises.

Acrobatic exercises with bulls in the 19th century. They were also found among the African Fulbe tribe in northern Nigeria (western Africa), and among the Moravan tribe in southern India. Russian professor Efimenko saw such games with bulls even in 1913 among the Basques in the Pyrenees Mountains.

Similar games with bulls, apparently, existed in ancient times among the peoples of our country: the name “bull roll” is still preserved in Tajik wrestling.
In Ancient Rome, acrobatic exercises were demonstrated by traveling artists - “circulators”, who, along with these exercises, also showed other types of art: tightrope walking, training, etc.

In 420 BC. e. Dancing on a rotating potter's wheel, combined with acrobatic exercises, was common. Some wealthy Romans kept "acrobats and all sorts of magicians" with them. There is information about acrobats who performed various exercises on a pole that was held on their forehead. Mention is made of acrobats who performed complex flexibility exercises.

During the Renaissance in Italy, the Republic of Venice organized “living architecture competitions,” that is, the construction of acrobatic pyramids. The Senate awarded a prize to the group that built the tallest pyramid. There are known cases of building pyramids about 9 meters high.

For the first time, Tyukkaro tried to describe the technique of acrobatic exercises in a special manual for professional acrobats. At the end of the 19th century. Streley wrote the book “Acrobatics and Acrobats,” in which he characterized various genres of professional artists and described the technique of a number of acrobatic exercises.

In Rus', acrobatics developed independently. It enjoyed great success among the broad masses of the population and was an obligatory part of entertainment spectacles. Old Russian buffoons were dancers, magicians, jugglers and acrobats. At first they performed one at a time, and then united in twos, threes and groups.

In the first half of the 17th century. Russia already had its own master acrobats of various specialties who taught acrobatic exercises.

At the end of the 18th century. acrobatic exercises appear in European stationary metropolitan circuses, which quickly become an integral part of professional circus performances. And in the 19th century. acrobatic exercises begin to be included in the bourgeois national gymnastics systems. Thus, two lines have emerged in the further development of acrobatics: professional circus and amateur sports.

The professional direction developed along the path of increasingly narrow specialization. This happened because the artists could perform with one act for a long time, traveling to different cities and countries. Instead of the universal, versatile artists of the past, virtuosos in one genre and even one trick are appearing.

There are relatively independent types of circus acrobatics: horse acrobatics, power acrobatics, vaulting (shoulder) acrobatics, “Carian games” and jumping acrobatics (with and without apparatus). These main species are cultivated in the circus to this day.
The second direction in the development of acrobatics - sports - is associated with the inclusion of acrobatic elements in gymnastics and with the emergence of circles of acrobatics lovers (especially in Russia). Acrobatic exercises are transferred from the floor to the apparatus.

In 1900, amateur acrobatic circles appeared in St. Petersburg, and in 1901 the first performance of amateur acrobats took place. Until the imperialist war of 1914, such performances by amateur acrobats accompanied most major sports evenings.

The All-Union Physical Education Parades, which took place regularly since 1936, played a major role in the popularization of this sport. But only in 1938 A.K. Bondarev, the head of the All-Union section, developed the first classification program and rules for acrobatics competitions. In 1939, the first All-Union acrobatics competitions were held in Moscow, which became the first in the world.

Since 1940, women have been participating in acrobatics competitions. Since 1951, youth competitions have been held. Since 1967, the USSR Sports Acrobatics Federation has been organizing international matches on television, and since 1972 - international competitions for the prize in memory of the USSR pilot-cosmonaut, honorary president of the federation V. N. Volkov.

In 1974, the 1st individual world championship was held in Moscow (athletes from Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Poland, the USSR, the USA, Germany and Switzerland participated). 13 Soviet athletes became champions. In 1975, the first World Cup competitions in sports acrobatics were held in Switzerland.

According to the waves of my memory

Legendary champion and trainer in sports acrobatics Anatoly TISHLER: “To get a piece of bread, I walked in front of the invaders on my hands”

Anatoly Viktorovich Tishler - Honored Master of Sports, Honored Trainer of the USSR and Ukraine, six-time champion of the Soviet Union.

There was a time when performances by sports acrobats took place in crowded stands - in Moscow at Luzhniki, in Kyiv at the Sports Palace, in Lvov, and in other cities. The elder of Ukrainian acrobatics, Anatoly Viktorovich Tishler, remembers these years well. He is an Honored Master of Sports, Honored Trainer of the USSR and Ukraine, six-time champion of the Soviet Union. For 25 years he was the president of the Federation of Sports Acrobatics of Ukraine. Candidate of Sciences, Associate Professor. Now he works as a senior teacher at the Kiev Variety and Circus College, where he is treated with great respect and respect. The famous trainer's students became famous throughout the world. Anatoly Viktorovich is from the generation of war children, who later, when they grew up, could not be broken by any trials in life.

"A GERMAN SPLASHED NOODLES RIGHT IN OUR FACES AND LAUGHED SO SO"

- When the war began, you were 10 years old. Where was your family at this time?

In his native Mariupol, which was occupied by the Germans. I had three brothers: Sasha, two years younger than me, Volodya and Vitya, twins, very small. We thought about evacuating, but dad insisted. He himself remained for subversive activities. The cart had already arrived for us, we were loading things. And then my mother said: “Where am I going to go alone on the road with the children? To whom? We don’t have any relatives or acquaintances in other places.” They began to bring things back into the house. A month after the occupation began, the Germans took my father away. And on November 7, the anniversary of the October Revolution, he was shot.

- Did someone tell you about this?

The German who lived in our building worked as a translator for the Gestapo. He told his mother: “Take the children and leave, because the same fate awaits you.” We cried terribly all night: all four of us cried incessantly, and then we went to our grandparents. And we lived there quietly, so that no one would see or hear us. As the translator warned, the Germans came for us, but found the apartment empty. They didn't look for us anymore.

- How did you survive during the occupation?

Hardly. Mom worked by the day, washed people’s clothes, and brought some crumbs into the house. We were also looking for an opportunity to make money. They came to the Germans and, like beggars, asked for food. They didn’t think about anything else then. For example, I remember very well that I walked in front of the Germans on my hands. They really liked it, they pointed their fingers at me and were surprised. They threw me pieces of bread and sausage. Well, really, the child is 10 years old, and he can do this.

- Did you learn this specifically to earn money this way?

I always had a need to move. My dad didn't play sports, but he could easily do a stand-up. He showed it to us sometimes. I saw it and decided to repeat it. He was so trained that he could walk entire blocks on his hands.

- Were you afraid to approach the invaders?

I must say that not all Germans treated children with anger and hostility. They never ate from the pot. They poured food onto their plates, and gave everything that was left to us. But there was such a case. Next to our house there was a school where we studied. German soldiers were stationed there. One of them occupied the basement room. He saw us from the window and began calling: “Kinder! Kinder! Come to me! Come to me!” We kids were happy and ran to him. They raced: whoever comes running first gets it.

They ran up and started sticking their bowls out the window. And he, such a beast, instead of pouring noodles - it was their favorite food - splashed it right in our faces. And he laughed so much! I had great pleasure.

We made slingshots and, hiding in the burnt building, began to break the windows with pennies. He got mad, grabbed a pistol and opened fire on us. A firefight began: he hit us with military weapons, and we hit him with slingshots.

- Weren’t you afraid?

This is how we were boys, can you imagine? They knew no fear. Apparently, we were so old that we didn’t realize how this could end for us.

The occupation lasted two years. When the Germans left, they doused the houses with gasoline and set them on fire, especially those that faced the street. Those who tried to put out the fire were shot. Our house was located in the depths of the yard, the distance between it and the one that the Germans set on fire was several meters. And I, a 12-year-old boy, began to break out windows in a burning house so that they would not fall on our house and spread the fire to it. Saved the native hearth. Distinguished himself.

"WE MADE A REVOLUTION IN SPORTS ACROBATICS. FOUR BROTHERS - IT WAS A SENSATION!"

- And what drew you into acrobatics?

After seven classes I entered the metallurgical technical school. My mother worked, my brother Sasha, I received a scholarship - life became a little easier. There was an amateur concert at the House of Culture of the Azovmash plant. I was shocked by the performance of two acrobat brothers, Mikhail and Nikolai Bulgakov. Both were very strong, muscular, ripped. On the second day I ran to the club, found them and said: “I want to study with you!” They smiled: “Show me something.” My physical condition at that time was worse than when I walked in front of the Germans on my hands. Mikhail (he was the lower acrobat) came up to me and took me into a stance. I've never done this, I failed a little, but I survived. They said: “Okay. You will train with us.”

A month later I was already performing on stage with them. My constitution (height - 160 centimeters, weight - 53 kilograms) fully met the requirements that were set for the top acrobats. We started going to competitions and took part in the Ukrainian Championship. And in the capital they paid attention to me.

An incident just happened at the technical school. I was called to the city party committee and offered to go to Donetsk with an acrobatic act to perform before the participants of the party conference. I say: “I have an exam tomorrow.” - “Don’t you understand? They will give you everything you need at home.” I return from Donetsk and find out that I was not certified and was deprived of my scholarship. I immediately wrote a letter of resignation, although I had studied for four years and was already preparing my diploma.

- Are you offended?

Scary! I called the Federation of Sports Acrobatics. They told me: “Come.” So in January 1952 I ended up in Kyiv. I was accepted into a coaching school at the Institute of Physical Education. And after some time, the Mariupol sports management wrote a complaint to the All-Union Committee for Physical Education and Sports that Kyiv was poaching athletes from them. A paper arrived from Moscow: “Dismiss immediately!”

I was officially expelled, but I continued to study illegally. Moreover, so that I could exist, they gave me a teaching job. The subject is improving sportsmanship. And I'm only 21 years old.

- In Mariupol you performed in a troika of acrobats, and in Kyiv?

In two. Vsevolod Demus became my partner. He was seven years older than me, but, unfortunately, physically he was a little short of the required level. And I never won the Soviet Union championship with him; we were second three times.

The brothers grew up. I decided to take them to Kyiv. We were given a room. And we started training - four brothers. It was a sensation! Before we appeared, the idea of a male foursome was this: the bottom one is a hefty guy weighing 120 kilograms, because he has to support everyone else. Then the weight of the partners should decrease.

And we were unified, that is, we could perform different functions: I, for example, could be a top acrobat, a first middle, and a second middle... We revolutionized sports acrobatics because we formed our four in a completely new way.

- When did you win your first national championship?

In 1957. It took place in Moscow. After performing in the pyramids, each of us had to do floor exercises separately. The head of the delegation tells us: “Guys, if each of you gets 9.3 points, then you are champions!”

The rule in both acrobatics and gymnastics is this: the weak one starts, followed by stronger partners, and at the very end - the leader. Accordingly, everyone gets higher and higher points. I, as the eldest, decide to change this order. I say: “Boys, I’ll go first, and then Sasha, Volodya and Vitya.”

I get the maximum score - 10 points! I turn to the guys: “There is a large supply. You no longer need to dial 9.3, work calmly.” Sasha comes out - 9.9 points! Volodya received 9.6, Vitya - 9.4. Thus began the triumphant march of our four in various competitions.

-Who did you consider your main rivals?

Russians, as well as Muscovites and Leningraders speaking separately. They did everything to break the hegemony of our four. They had a powerful psychological impact. For example, we came to the national championship in Lviv. We go into the hotel, look, and on the doors in the lobby hangs a summary table of the results of competitions that have not yet taken place. And we were given third place there. But we took revenge by becoming first again.

- Have there been any failures?

Not everything went smoothly. At one of the Union Championships in Moscow at Luzhniki, an unfortunate mistake occurred: one brother did not dismount, and we immediately slipped to 17th place. But we were so well prepared that over the next few days we climbed up and eventually won bronze. In total, I won three national championships with my brothers. Then Sasha left for Mariupol.

- Was he also involved in acrobatics there?

Yes, I performed in pairs. For many years he worked as chairman of the Azovmash sports club. Then he went to work at a factory as an electrician. And he bet with the guys there that he would make a stand on a high-voltage power pole. He climbed up and stood on his hands. The chief power engineer was passing by and saw it. Sasha was deprived of both his salary and bonus. These are the jokes.

-Have you ever done numbers like this?

I have a photo of me doing a window stand, and I also turned my head. But he didn't take any more risks.

- Who became your new partner after your brother left?

Vladimir Matuzenko. With him we won three more championships. Our last championship took place in Kyiv. We took second place, which was a failure for us. And the reason was simple: two weeks before the competition, we missed Victor while performing difficult exercises. He fell and injured his tailbone. On the day of the competition, during warm-ups, we dropped it again. He even lost consciousness from pain.

The spectators at the Sports Palace supported us wildly. And we showed ourselves great. But due to one breakdown, they lost hundredths of a point to the Russian four. I was already 39 years old, and I said: “That’s it, guys, that’s enough!” Physically he could still perform, but psychologically he could no longer withstand the intense struggle.

- Have you been injured?

They were insignificant. Both for me and for my brothers. Didn't break, didn't hit. Somehow I landed unsuccessfully, and I also had paresis of my foot. I think this is nonsense. God took care of me. But when I was training my nephew Yurka, Vladimir’s son, I caught him and my biceps came off. Apparently, the ligaments were already torn and worn out.

"THE ENGLISH PRINCESS WAS ADVISED: "YOU PERFORMED SO WELL THAT WE COULD LEARN YOUR ANTHEM"

-Are you satisfied with your students?

I'm lucky to have them.

- And they are with you...

I was preparing my nephew to become a male couple. The boy was very talented. I found him a good partner - Seryozha Petrov. They became champions of the Soviet Union four times. When I was an acrobat, we did not participate in the world championships: there was no international federation then. And Yura and Seryozha had such an opportunity. And so they, as multiple champions of the country, had full moral, legal and any right to go to the world forum. But Russia did not give us a chance, pushing its own people there. Can you imagine?

I endured this for a long time, although the president of the International Gymnastics Federation, which included acrobatics, was my friend Yuri Titov. He and I studied and trained together. He also headed the Gymnastics Federation in the Union. I could have contacted him, but I didn’t. However, when I found out that they were once again going to not let us into the World Championships, my patience ran out, I called him: “Yura, I ask you to be at the final estimate and determine the worthy ones yourself.”

The gathering took place in Moscow. Yuri Titov arrived, looked at my guys and categorically declared: “They must go!” And in 1980, Yura and Seryozha went to the World Championships in Switzerland for the first time. Imagine, they created a real sensation there!

- Anatoly Viktorovich, in your opinion, what exactly brought you, the athlete and coach, victories in acrobatics?

I had a principle: we must do what no one can do. I was always trying to come up with something new. Sometimes I didn’t sleep at night. And the solution suddenly came from somewhere. We came to all competitions with original exercises. This endeared us to the judges, the spectators, and even our rivals. When Yura and Seryozha showed a very complex program, everyone came up to them, shook their hand and admired: “Well, this is absolutely a masterpiece!”

And competition also helped their athletic growth. They had very strong rivals, also from Kiev - Sergei Chizhevsky and Valery Lyapunov, a couple who were invited from Russia. I had to make the exercises incredibly difficult and hone my skills.

The next world championship was held in London. It was attended by the prince and princess, who personally awarded the winners. The prince is the great-nephew of Nicholas II, very similar to the autocrat - just one face. There were 21 gold medals up for grabs, and 19 of them were ours. Suddenly the princess said in pure Russian: “You performed so well that we were able to learn your anthem.”

Leonid Brezhnev loved hockey, Boris Yeltsin loved tennis... Were any of the powerful people interested in acrobatics?

I know that Vladimir Vasilyevich Shcherbitsky loved to watch the performances of Yura and Seryozha from the podium at festive demonstrations. He beat his hands off, applauding them. I remember one May Day was very rainy. Everyone stood under umbrellas. And my guys, as usual, showed exercises on the asphalt. The rain pours and pours. Vladimir Vasilyevich waved his hands and shouted to Yura and Seryozha: “Don’t! Don’t!” But they did everything as planned, there were no failures.

At one time, the first secretary in Mariupol was a party leader, Vladimir Mikhailovich Tsybulko. He loved acrobatics very much and invited the four of us to return to our hometown, where he promised to open a sports school named after the Tischler brothers. This is 100% guaranteed! But a month later he was appointed first secretary of the Kyiv regional party committee, and he was no longer interested in us.

- Did anything tragicomic happen to you and your students at competitions?

There was such an episode at the Union Championship in Tbilisi. After two days of fighting, my guys were ahead. On the third day - the final. Our opponents are warming up, but my pair is not there. I run to the locker room. I look - Seryozha is standing alone. Pale, all cowardly. I said to him: “What is it? Where is Yurka?” - “I forgot my panties, I went to the hotel to get them.” - “What panties? How is that possible? What, we couldn’t get them here?”

They, as leaders, had to speak last. The competition is already coming to an end, but Yura is still missing. I feel bad. Finally appears. Pale, worried, scared. But with panties. "Did I make it?" - asks. “I don’t know,” I say. “Quickly put on your panties and warm up.”

We need to go out already. We didn’t have time to warm up properly. In such a state, naturally, it was impossible to demonstrate the complex program that we had prepared. I tell the guys to ease up on their exercises. They received high praise and remained leaders. But then Yura, jumping from Seryozha’s shoulders and doing a somersault with a 360-degree turn, did not get back onto his shoulders with one leg. And the couple that closely followed us won.

- What is the future fate of these panties?

Don't know. We need to ask Yura. As a coach, I miscalculated my strategy. I am little, my brothers are little, my father, mother and grandfather were little. And I thought that my nephew Yurka would also be small all his life. And he suddenly began to grow and gain weight. When he, the top acrobat, became equal in height to the bottom one, it was no longer possible for them to perform together.

And the director of the ice ballet kept begging me: “Tolya, give me your acrobats!” And I sent Yurka there. Volodya Besedin became his new partner. They were such a success with the public that they were invited to the famous American show “Champions on Ice,” where our famous figure skater Viktor Petrenko performs. Actually, only Olympic champions participate in this show. But they made an exception for my guys.

- Do you have gifted students at the circus college?

But of course! Recently, at a competition in Paris, which is held among circus and pop artists, my students, brothers Slava and Sasha Eroshnikov, received a gold medal. And in Germany, Igor Goncharenko and Valya Sidenko won the silver medal. I'm happy that I continue to do what I love.

- Did acrobatics interfere with your personal life?

Nelya is my second wife. At one time, sports glory evenings were practiced, and that’s where we met her. She is a ballerina and graduated from a choreographic school. She worked at the Operetta Theater as a soloist. We have been together for 34 years, we have a daughter.

- What was the fate of your twin brothers Volodya and Victor?

Victor works with me at the variety and circus college, and has been managing the circus department for more than 20 years. And Vladimir is a senior coach at children's sports school No. 20.

- What are you dreaming about now?

That sports acrobatics, which is recognized as an Olympic sport, is finally included in the program of the Olympic Games. And so that our guys bring gold medals from there. I would like to live to see this.

The benefits of sports acrobatics for children

Formation of a muscular corset and posture, beautiful and correct posture, the ability to climb ropes and ladders, grouping during a fall - a child can acquire all these skills during sports acrobatics.

If your baby is phlegmatic, shy, and feels discomfort in a group of peers, then classes will be able to liberate him and improve the functioning of the vestibular apparatus. After all, acrobatic exercises are mainly performed with several children at the same time. Correct and accurate performance of the trick depends on how well the children in the team can work synchronously with each other. As a result, acrobatic classes will not only strengthen physical development, but will also help to correctly form a socially adapted child.

Parents should make an effort to motivate their child to play sports. Gymnastic training will qualitatively increase endurance, physical tone, and strengthen the child’s health. But how to interest a fidget?

You can visit the circus and your child will be delighted with the performance he sees. Then, in a playful way, offer to perform some of the tricks that he remembered. How to learn acrobatic tricks

But there have been facts in history when athletes achieved high results without starting to engage in acrobatics at all in childhood. The only obstacles to achieving your goal may be fears and prejudices. But if you are determined to achieve your goals, then nothing will stand in your way.

People who are far from sports think that acrobatic tricks cannot be learned without injury and pain. But that's not true. It all depends on the attentiveness of the athlete; if you listen to the mentor and start training after a proper warm-up, then you will not be afraid of any injuries.

Since 1967, the USSR Sports Acrobatics Federation has been organizing international matches on television, and since 1972 - international competitions for the prize in memory of the USSR pilot-cosmonaut, honorary president of the federation V.N. In 1975, the first World Cup competitions in sports acrobatics were held in Switzerland.

Socialist countries had a great influence on the development of world acrobatics; Since 1957, traditional acrobatics competitions have been held among countries. The International Federation of Sports Acrobatics (IFSA) was created in 1973. Since 1974, World Acrobatics Championships have been held every 2 years, and in the intervening years the World Cup has been held.

Acrobatic exercises are widely present in various sports. First of all, in gymnastics, diving, figure skating, wrestling and many others.

Until 1939, acrobatics in our country was only amateur. But even then, the first organizational steps towards the development of this sport in the Russian Federation were outlined.

In 1934, the Department of Acrobatics and Rhythmic Gymnastics was created at the Moscow Institute of Physical Culture.

The All-Union Physical Education Parades, held regularly since 1936, played a major role in the popularization of acrobatics as a sport.

In 1938, the All-Union Section under the leadership of A.K. Bondarev, the first ever classification program and rules for acrobatics competitions were developed.

In 1939, acrobatic exercises were included in the GTO complex, and, at the end of the year, the first All-Union acrobatics competitions were held in Moscow, which were the first in the world. 90 athletes took part in them.

During the Great Patriotic War, no acrobatics competitions were held.

Beginning in 1945, work was carried out on a new classification program and rules for acrobatics competitions. In 1947, exercises for the category of masters of sports were included in the competition program for the first time.

In 1948, the All-Union Conference on Gymnastics was held, at which it was determined that acrobatics is one of the types of gymnastics with a sports orientation. After this, acrobatics gained universal recognition and became widespread among boys and girls, as well as among adults. Competitions for the championship of republics, sports societies and departments began to be held.

The process of development of acrobatics in Russia can be divided into two stages. The first from 1949 to 1973, the second from 1974 to the present.

The development of sports acrobatics in Russia at the first stage was carried out on the basis of documents developed by the All-Union Federation of Acrobatics before the Great Patriotic War. At the second stage, classification programs and competition rules are regularly updated, which contributes to the growth of athletes’ performance skills and the increase in the complexity of the exercises they perform.

In 1949, T.G. Vavich creates the All-Russian Federation of Acrobatics, organizes and holds the first ever championship of the Russian Federation in sports acrobatics from November 26 to 29 in the city of Tula. 78 acrobats from 9 territories and regions took part in it.

The most rapid development of acrobatics in the regions of the Russian Federation began in 1950, when the All-Union Committee on Physical Culture and Sports issued an order to hold competitions in sports, rhythmic gymnastics and acrobatics in a comprehensive competition. Since 1950, acrobatics competitions have been regularly held for the championship of the cities of Moscow and Leningrad, the Russian Federation, sports societies and departments, both among boys and girls, and among adults. 34 organizations have already taken part in the 1952 Russian Championship. In the fifties, acrobatics became firmly established as a sport.
