About Reebok challenge races. Become human"

Races with challenges “Reebok. Become a Human” is a competition for teams of 6 people (recommended combination of 3 men and 3 women, 4+2 is also acceptable). The distance ranges from 5 to 7 km and includes 9-10 tests, most of which are designed for group performance. The test scheme changes each time, specific tasks become known only on the day of the competition. The technique of performing exercises during the tests is monitored by judges, and the time taken to complete the course is recorded by a telemetry system. Persons over 18 years of age can participate in the races.

1. What is “Become Human”?

This powerful Reebok project, which brings together a variety of people to participate. These can be professional athletes, amateurs and complete beginners. The main goal of the project is to “Become a Human”, that is, not just to run 5 or some other kilometers at speed, but to learn to work in a team, help each other, test yourself and set ambitious goals. The festival takes place in several cities of Russia, and in the fall a grand finale is held in Moscow for the best of the best.

2. Is this paid?

3. How to participate?

Assemble a team of 6 people (ideally, if there are equal numbers of men and women, but a 4/2 ratio is allowed, otherwise it will be objectively difficult). Register on the site, go to the start line and perform feats. More specifically, this is a 5-7 kilometer section of the route, during which the team faces 6-10 different tests. Go through them, and you already become a person.

4. What kind of tests?

The route and checkpoints are kept secret until the start of the competition. In general terms, these will be tests based on exercises from CrossFit, regular gym classes and maybe a little military training.

5. Are there more specific descriptions?

Officially, no. But in St. Petersburg they opened it especially for the festival free training season in city parks. At these meetings, instructors will teach basic CrossFit exercises, strength training, and yoga. And some of these exercises will be very similar to competitive ones. They promise that information and experience will help you go through the “Become Human” distance without any problems.

6. What if not everyone passes?

According to the rules of the race, if someone from the team cannot complete the task, then the check point is considered failed (and these are penalty points at the finish line). And yet, no one can leave the race, the whole team is removed. This is one of the main principles of the race - to always remain human and help a friend.

7. How to register?

On website.

Each participant registers independently, and then the team captain forms the roster in his personal account. IMPORTANT! When you have recruited 6 participants, select the race time. Without this, registration is not considered complete, and you can simply “fly by.” Based on the experience of previous competitions, you need to assemble a team and choose a time as quickly as possible. At the start, you can replace two participants if suddenly someone from the original lineup is unable to run.

8. Do I need to come to the start already prepared?

In fact, before the race, all teams are invited to a general warm-up accompanied by lively music. But if the event starts at 10 am, and your team runs only at 17.00, then you need to arrive at the competition site at least half an hour before the start. This is to go through the final registration procedure and instructions; without it, you simply won’t be allowed on the track.

9. Where will you have to run, on asphalt? The “Become a Human” race on July 28 in St. Petersburg will take place near Sosnovka Park (Olginsky Pond). We assume that almost the entire route is semi-forest paths with rare sections of asphalt. If the technical details of the race are very important, look for videos and photos from previous starts

, because this is already the third one for St. Petersburg!

10. What does the team get at the finish line?

Honor, respect and signature Reeebok medals. The three best teams (who passed all the tests and spent a minimum of time on the race) will receive free participation in the season finale, in the fall, in Moscow.

11. I don’t want/can’t participate, why should I go there then?

For fans, guests of the event and those who are not yet ready to “Become Human” there will be a lot of interesting and FREE things at the festival site. For example, master classes from professional instructors in various areas of fitness, a yoga marathon from yoga adherents, as well as interactive acquaintance with new Les Mills programs. You don’t need to register for this, just come to Sosnovka Park (Olginsky Pond) on July 28. The full class schedule is on the project website.

Still have questions? Ask them here and here.

For the whole weekend, the Krylatsky Hills will turn into an area of active lifestyle and open-air recreation for more than 10 thousand people. All visitors will be treated to 120 hours of master classes and lectures from fitness and healthy lifestyle professionals. They will share their knowledge and experience, and answer your questions.

In front of the main stage, training sessions from the popular Les Mills program will traditionally take place: new releases BODYJAM, TONE, BODYPUMP, BARRE and many others await participants. For those who want to give 200% and burn up to 2,500 kcal, we suggest attending intensive cycling training.

The organizers have prepared women's and men's areas where they will be able to attend special master classes and training sessions from fitness experts and Reebok ambassadors. Girls will learn what type of fitness is best suited for working out individual muscle groups, and how physiological characteristics affect the effectiveness of training in men and women, and will also receive beauty tips.

Men will be able to attend Combat master classes to feel like real UFC fighters and have a little rest between workouts.

Yoga marathon will take place on September 29 and 30, 2018 on the Rowing Canal in Krylatskoye

A two-day yoga marathon will be held for yoga adherents: the best teachers in Moscow will share their experience and help improve their personal practice. All those who come will enjoy classes in classical and modern styles, classes with live music, as well as neon yoga after sunset.

The classes will help fill you with energy and positive emotions and are suitable for both beginner and advanced levels. In the Fitmost zone, for those who want to try everything at once, it will be possible to attend classes in boxing, stretching, Zumba and Irish dancing.

The organizers will invite all participants and guests not only to pay attention to themselves, but also to support our planet and take care of the environment. There will be special boxes on the festival grounds for two days where you can donate old items, which will then be sent for recycling. Also, together with water partner Vittel, separate collection of plastic will be organized.

Heat, pain and fatigue are secondary. Don’t be afraid to take on a challenge, strive to become better, believe in yourself, be able to work in a team - this is what will help you get to the finish line obstacle racing Reebok and become human.

On July 28, a fitness festival took place in St. Petersburg on the territory of Sosnovka Park "Reebok. Become human". One of the most exciting events of this sports day is the challenge race. About 300 teams of 6 people competed, each with at least two girls. The real July heat added complexity to the already difficult route. “+34°C (the north-west will understand me) - we didn’t miss a single puddle,” wrote race participant Alena Ivanchik.

It was necessary to overcome 7 km. They ran, holding on to the rope and making intense fitness stops:

Ball Plank (rolling under a 6kg medicine ball, 20 laps), Tire Roll, Loaded Squats (60 synchronized loaded squats with 10 or 20kg sandbags on the shoulders), Farmer's Walk (300-meter run with a 12- or 24-kg tire), “Lord of the Rings” (60 horizontal pull-ups), “Locust” (overcoming 30 m by jumping from a “sitting” position with a fitball on outstretched arms above your head), “Maslenitsa” (moving twelve 5- and 10-kg plates, the position of the participants is sitting with their feet off the ground), “Ball Throws” (60 throws of a 4-kg ball), “Obstacle Course”, “Corners” and “Crabs”.

After completing each test, the team received a mark on the rope. There were also penalties in the form of burpees and squats. Each participant had their own difficulties in these competitions.

Nadezhda Sorokina: “7 km route, 11 tests: planks, tilting a giant tire, jumping with a fitball, pull-ups, running with tires on your shoulders around the lake, squats, crab, etc. Some were easy, some were hard. The hardest thing is probably running in +30C heat! We did it, our team worked through all the tests in a friendly and technical manner, went through thick and thin, ran cheerfully to the finish line... but in other teams someone was dragged by the arms. Thanks to the organizers for the holiday!”

Elizaveta Zaitseva: “Strength, endurance, speed, sense of team – everything will be useful for passing. The basis of the competition is running with obstacles and power loads. This time the organizers decided to focus on the legs. There was a squat with a weight of 20 kg - 60 times, then a synchronized squat without weight with the whole team for another 60. I realized that I needed to return to the practice of squats with jumping, because it was hard to squat 120 times after the break. But the most hellish exercise seemed to me to be “crabs”. This is when you crawl from point A to point B in a crab position, and even uphill. By the way, this was left for the end of the race.”

At the finish line, each participant enjoyed being doused with cold water, a medal and a field kitchen with buckwheat, tea and chocolate bars.

Tatyana Kondrashova: “It was very cool, 11 tests, positive atmosphere, team spirit, sweat, dirt, sand, a bunch of athletes, lack of water, 30 grams. heat. But most importantly, you know why Become Human? Because you are fighting, you are fighting not only for victory, but also with yourself!”

Based on the results of each race, the first 3 teams that showed the fastest results, as well as teams invited at the discretion of the organizers, receive the right to participate in the challenge race “ Reebok. Become human”, which will take place in the fall of 2018 in Moscow without paying an entry fee.
